On your request the Festival will advice or arrange your trip to Cappadocia.
The fastest and most comfortable way of reaching Cappadocia is using the airway. There are two main airports that you can use to reach Cappadocia. One of them is Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR) located in Kayseri and nearly one hour driving to the center of Cappadocia region. There are several direct (nonstop) flights from Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) to Kayseri Erkilet Airport. There are also daily flights from Izmir into Kayseri via Istanbul. On your request the Festival will arrange a transfer or shuttle bus from Kayseri Airport to Cappadocia.
The second one is Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV), which is located in Gülşehir town of Nevşehir Province. There are several direct (nonstop) flights from Istanbul Ataturk to Nevsehir Kapadokya twice a day.
Most of the bus companies have bus services to Cappadocia Region. By bus:
- Nevşehir Cappadocia Airport – 1 hour
- Kayseri Airport – 1,5 hours
- Ankara- 5 hours
- Antalya- 9 hours
- Istanbul- 12 hours
- Izmir- 12 hours
If you decide to come with your veichle to Cappadocia:
Bulgarian border gate Kapıkule – 15 hours
Greek border gate İpsala – 15 hours
Georgian border gate Sarpi – 13 hours
İranian border gate Gürbulak – 15 hours
Kayseri is on a busy railway route. It is possible to find suitable trains to Kayseri from almost all the train stations of Turkey. From Kayseri, you can take bus to go to Göreme.
Transportation during Festival
Each choir will need a vehicle (van, coach, etc.) through the festivals duration for transportation to/from venues, touristic sites vs. If you will not be arriving by your own vehicle, the festival committee will arrange for vehicles for rent, suitable for your participant count. In this case rent fee shall be paid by the choir.
